The Music of Grey’s

Published by greysfan0128 at 12:32 am under Grey's Anatomy Edit This

I don’t know about you, but I think that the music playing in the background can make or break a scene for me. And Grey’s has not failed in providing its viewers/listeners with some great tunes.

For instance, who can forget The Fray’s “How to Save a Life,” which is still heard on mainstream radio. And new artist Duffy’s hit “Mercy,” featured on the recent finale — a song I recently heard referred to by a radio DJ as the “McSteamy and Callie” song.

Who can forget Butterfly Boucher’s “A Bitter Song” as Meredith struggles in the water after the ferryboat crash in Season 3’s “Drowning on Dry Land?” And Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars.” I really love that song.

The Official Grey’s site has a Music Guide that lists songs from each episode of all four seasons, some offering scene descriptions of when the song was played.

There are three Grey’s soundtracks available as well — as a set or individually. Check out www.abctvstore.com for more info.

Enjoy the music.
