Finale Countdown, Part 1

In just a couple of days, we Grey’s fans will turn off our cell phones, land lines and high-speed internet to focus our eyes, minds, and hearts on what we all hope to be another glorious ending to our favorite DOC-drama.

I myself will be stuck at my day job (or night job, as some call it) trying to watch the show while dodging the after-hours phone calls that come in. (The nature of the beast, I guess)

No matter where we will be, we all have our own hopes and dreams about what we hope to see Thursday night. Here are a few of mine.

  • I hope Meredith will get a clue (and perhaps a romantic backbone) and confront McDreamy about her feelings for him; and that she will determine to stick with it. I hope that McDreamy in turn will give up Rose, take another leap of faith, and go back to Meredith.
  • I also hope to see Callie come to a conclusion about the elevator kiss with Dr. Hahn. But maybe that scene just was what it was — Hahn trying to shock McSteamy, who was having a hard time erasing his manwhore title at the time.
  • I am also looking forward to finding out what brings Cristina out of her dark place; and am interested in seeing details of this “Big Trauma” mentioned in previews. Is a that a dude encased in concrete? Wow!

All that said, in my television watching-experience, nothing comes as easy as we hope; AND if its worth watching, we WILL be left hanging until next season. The question is, where?

News Of Note:

There is a great article in Men’s Vogue about the man behind McDreamy, Patrick Dempsey, and his well-known hobby of race-car driving. It’s a good read, check it out.

abc.com recently posted the start of a new fan challenge, “Grey’s Anatomy Fantasy Challenge .” The game, which requires predictions, from its fans and rates them, begins with Thursday’s episode. Looks fun! Check it Out!
