It seems Isaiah Washington just can’t let things go.

After his character’s (Dr. Preston Burke’s) image appeared on the show Thursday promoting the doc’s receipt of a prestigious surgery award, I read that Washington has filed a complaint with ABC and the Screen Actors Guild about the use of his photo.

The story, on www.foxnews.com, reports that ABC has rights to advance the character’s story, but not to use his image.

I understand that in the world of actors, using someone’s image without permission is a BIG deal. But it seems to me that Washington can’t let go of the past - that he might still be a little bit bitter about his exit from the show last season.

I mean, yeah, they could have just posted an imageless article on the bulletin board, but look at the effect of having his photo there too. Christina had to look at it — she had to face her past once again.

Maybe ABC should have been a little more careful about actors’ rights, if that is really the case. Maybe they should compensate Washington for use of the image.

Or maybe, we all should just let bygones be bygones.

To me, that photo definitely said a thousand words.
